Walk for Hope
Walk for Hope Depression and Suicide Awareness event is our annual 5K Run/Walk that takes place annually in August. The Walk raises funds and awareness for mental wellness and suicide prevention through donations and peer to peer/team fundraising. All profits raised remain local and are used to support Barb Smith Suicide Resource & Response Network events, programs, and trainings.
The Saturday before Thanksgiving is recognized as National Survivor of Suicide Day, remembering families and friends bereaved by suicide. Our local event “Hope Starts Here” includes guest speakers, a luncheon, and connecting with others who are survivors of suicide loss.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, our 2020 event has been canceled but we are already making plans for 2021!
